LunchTable is not a moment. It is a place. Most rooms online are built to peak — a joke hits, a chart runs, the first people in start acting like the door was never meant to stay open. Then the room goes quiet and everybody pretends they were only passing through.
This project was named after the opposite habit. Somewhere behind every person who trades, posts, lurks, or disappears for three weeks is a younger version of them standing with a tray. Looking for a gap that does not require a performance. Waiting to see if anyone will move a bag without making a speech about it.
That is the oldest social technology we have. A table. A chair that is empty on purpose. $TABLE is the name on the tray. LunchTable is where the tray belongs.
The long run is simple and hard. People will come in hot. People will go silent. People will sell, buy again, miss a month, change wallets, change jokes. The table does not reset their name to stranger. Leaving does not cancel you. That is what makes a community worth keeping instead of a chat worth mining.
If LunchTable is only loud at launch, it failed its own name. A lunch table that still has your seat after you left — after you were wrong, after you sat with another crowd and came back a little embarrassed — that is a place.

X is the hallway. Telegram is the table. If someone slides a contract in your DMs, that is not this house.
Pass it down
If you took a seat, leave one open. Bag size does not rank the room. The empty chair is the contract with whoever shows up later.
